I saw this picture on another site I am a member of and thought some of you might like to see it. These Wolf's were shot in Alaska the other day. they are much bigger than our Coyote's. I don't think i ever want to see anything like this in the woods. those thing's are Huge!

Here are 2 more. One smaller one and one black.

They are pretty elusive critters. We have seen a few on some of the flyins we've done in Canada.

We hear a lot more of them at night it's pretty neat.

I dont understand why anyone would want to kill such a beautiful animal just for sport
I agree . If they were killing you livestock or damaging something I could see it but just to be shooting them to hang on a wall doesn't seem right . Don't get me wrong I love hunting but I eat what I take and if do not plan on eating it I do not kill it .

I know a few people who hunt just for the sake of killing, they wont even claim the animal. I dont agree with that at all, I am looking forward to getting out and yote hunting and I guess that could be interpreted as the same thing. In my opinion it isnt,

1st the coyote shouldnt even be in this area, it was introduced by the same people who thought kudzu was a wonderful idea.

2nd The coyotes do nothing but breed and kill, I have personally seen fawns that were killed by coyotes and as much as I love deer hunting I just cant stand for that to happen within one mile of my favorite hunting stand. Not that I'm jealous the yote got it before me but most hunters also love the animal they are hunting and want to see the population healthy.

3rd We constantly have to worry, while taking the dog out at night, because on several occasions we have seen coyotes in our yard. While they wont attack somthing as big as I am they will go for our pets and our neighbors also have small children. I have read of children being attacked and I will not stand for that chance. As a kid I could go out and play all I wanted and never have to worry about being attacked by anything and I dont think its right thats kids may have to today.

In short, I view the coyote the same as a mouse, a nuisance that needs to be eliminated.

If I won some kind of twisted lottery and was allowed to go to Yellowstone and kill a wolf there is no way I would do it. That is its home, its rightful place set aside to live naturally and away from human influence. But let one step foot on Caney Ridge and I will gladly down it.

And God help the poor creature that hurts Mammas Precious Puppy. I wouldnt put it past her to fire bomb the whole are to make sure she got them all.

I'm not meaning to cause a racket but this is the way I feel.

I'm with you SB. I have had several newborn calfs killed by cayote's and had some pull my cows tails off. I kill everyone that i get the opportunity to shoot, they are a nuscience and need to be illimmanated. I have seen Wolfs in Alaska and Canada and they are killing machines. As long as they stay in there place they are allright but not to habitat around people.
