I'm trying to start musky fishing and was wondering if those of you using heavy braid still use a wire leader or not

Yes! I'd say it's just about a have to if your going to be fishing musky or either some heavy fluoro carbon.

I'm a rookie at musky fishing myself. But have been on a recenr trip with a couple guides and they used heavy braid with either the wire or flouro.

absolutely yes to using a leader. type varies and if using gliders, some jerkbaits, etc I will be more inclined to use wire. other times I tie straight on with 100# flourocarbon and spro swivels. If you order some check stealth tackle. some of the best leaders out there
