This is one of our older polls but I wanted to revisit it this week to give our newer members a chance to chime in.

I know there are a lot of different possible scenarios but my question is not scenario specific. I'm asking everyone to forget about those for the purpose of this poll and just answer these two little questions.

- Which do you enjoy the most?

- Why?

Night time Because I don't have to share the lake with the jet skies and boat riders

I did a poll on the old site, but we've got a bunch of new members. Lets see what everyone has to say.

I like night better.

Not as many boats, no jet skiers, I usually catch bigger fish, it is so peacefull at night, I can forget about all the problems for a few hours.

I will fish day or night, rain or shine, If I have to I'll drill a hole in the ice to get to the fish. I don't fish much at night in the winter. Come spring and summer it's hard to keep me off the water.

I am Nocturnal!!!! I fish every chance I get all year round though. I preffer NightTime Smallie Hunting! For me, there's nothing like being on the lake during those warm summer nights. It's quite, peaceful and the sounds of the crickets and night time creatures is just plain neat! As others have said, you also don't have to contend with all the jet skies and ocean liners.
Is it summertime yet??

I like both....nothing like canoeing down the river in the middle of summer and catching smallies....but then again, nothing like being on the lake at 3am on a week day, and being the only soul out there

That's a tough one for me to answer. Like a lot of folks above me, it really does depend on the time of the year. In the spring, fall and winter I would much rather fish in the daytime. In the summer it's night for me. It just makes fishing a lot easier when all the traffic is on the lake and heat to fish of the night.

All of the obvious reasons for each day & nite have been listed and I agree with all. Guess the one thing that really makes nite fishin' so much better is that I can PEE without having to be sneaky. OH the GREAT OUTDOORS........

I voted night.....BUT, if you ever hit anything (tree) and do $1400.00 damage to a lower unit, running at night becomes not so fun anymore...I cant get that out of my head and im scared to run at night. I bought a boat mounted spot light but, its not much comfort either. I just hate not being able to see floating debris at night........But, the fish bite better and no "jerk traffic" on the water that late!

Sunrise and Sunset are my favorites but like a couple of other guys said, 1. I just can't see that well after dark and 2. I haven't been a boater long enough to know where in the heck I'm going' but more importantly, what's out there. I guess as time goes on I'll get more confidence. My little boat won't go that fast to begin with, but I ain't real comfortable flying around and it pitch black. My nerves can't take it. Old age, I guess!
