Well, I had the pleasure of fishing with Treble Hooker today. I met him at Ladd landing at around noon, and off we went into the 20 mph winds. We were bass fishing and threw an assortment of baits. Traps and jigs are what caught the fish. We caught some small ones at first, then I hooked this one on a trap.

It inhaled the trap and was bleeding, so I was trying to keep the blood out of the boat.

We continued on, with a couple of small fish hitting the jig, and moved on up the Emory a little ways. Pitching jigs to blowdowns, I hooked into this one

All fish were caught in less than ten feet of water, and water temps ranged from 47-51 degrees in the places we fished. Water was stained in most places with a foot of visibility



I appreciate the trip TH, and we will have to do it again soon.

didnt see ya out there. we put in at the steam plant. had a really good day of fishn .caught them on trap and my flatsides. bet we caught thirty. biggest alittle over five. wish we would of ran up on ya. at least ya had a great day too. good fish. it sure was a cold wind though.

hehe Crankster, we didn't catch as many as you, but did put a couple nice ones in the boat. I was the back seater, so the wind wasn't too bad on me, but Treble Hooker was using some pleasant language to describe how he felt about the wind

I guess the wind just brings out the

potty mouth in me

...I reckon just wasn't a good day to try and get more aquainted to Flippin'..Seems like everytime I picked up my jig after a lil bit of calmness the wind gods were watchin' me

and laughin....I'll get it soon enough..but thoroughly enjoyed fishin' with JTF and glad that atleast one of us put somethin' in the boat. Hope we get to go again soon..Maybe thursday or friday will bring some good jiggin' weather

Sounds like the water is warming up I seen on tva web site the emory was up and that must have been a warm rain .If it warms back up this weekend the wife and I are going somewhere might hit the bar . Glad you guys got to go and catch some fish. Water is warmer down that way than up here. Guess I need to get down that way and see if I can catch some on Pauls flat sides.
