This was my first classic, and I have to say it will not be my last. I got alot of free stuff, got some good deals. I got a 30$ diawa spinning real for 8 bucks sunday. I was one of the finalist for the puralator big bass award, didn't win but got to set in front row at sunday's weigh-in. I was pulling for Hartlry or KVD to win but I was glad Alton Jones won. Its not everyday you win 500k and get to fish for a living, then give GOD all of the glory. I think it was pretty cool that his weigh-in song was Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns. not knocking all the other anglers songs at all. I just think it is a great testimony, especially in front of 8-10 thousand people. We were at the launch sat. and sun. and wished him good luck and both mornings he said thanks and GOD bless all of us.

You know there is no other sport in the world where you can get as close to the stars as fishing. They all seem to be down to earth and keep the fans in mind something other sports lack. Sounds like you had a great time.
