I got great feed back on my post the other day. I think theres alot good people in here that can help me get started on these waters. I look forward to being a ative member here, and meeting many of you when possible...



The float trip this Saterday I need more info I would like to try and make this trip. I have a 16ft canoe with outriggers I have a truck to get it to the put in area. How are you guys getting back to the put in area??? Do I need another partner? Should I bring waders?

Jeff, there might be a change of plans for this weekend. The guy that put this together has some family that he has to attend to and that's where he needs to be. I haven't heard for sure if the trip is called off but you can watch the board and find out. These guys are great to fish with. There will be someone to drive us back to our trucks when we reach the end. Some will stay with the boats until the others get back. Bring waders if you got them. If you have more questions ask MJ, he's the man to ask as he is the one putting it together.

Well if the trip called off its not a big deal. I'll make the next one. I have a new boat to break in the motor on, and my outriggers on the canoe need rebuilt ... One of my dogs chewed up the foam floats on both the outriggers... Would anyone have any idea where to find a 8 inch round foam noddel?



I may see how far I can take my boat up the clinch to fish as well as check out Bull Run steam plant seems some people are getting some big fish there.

Are we fishing fly rods or ultra lights? If ultra light what lures? If fly rods what flies? I will need some to call me about location meet. I'm guessing we would meet at take out spot and ride in truckes to drop off.

wE WILL BE FISHING WITH CORN,MINNOW TYPE BAITS THINGS LIKE THAT,WILL HAVE TO TELL ON FRIDAY.

If you use a fly rod try a 18-22 BH zebra midge, or the old standby 18 BH pheasant tail. I've been on a float trip with most of these guys, great guys.
