A good friend and I hit Tellico today. It was the first time we've ever fished together, plus it was the first time he had ever fished Tellico.
We put in at Lotterdale Cove and went to Bat Creek. Water temp was 44 and stained. Air temp was 46 and sunny with about a 5 mile an hour wind.
First spot (up in the creek) was non productive. We moved back down the creek a little and went back in to a pocket and caught three non keeper largemouth on chunk rock.
After fishing out of the creek and back to the main channel, that was the only three fish we had at 2 o'clock. We moved up the lake and went in to Baker's creek. On one bank we caught 14 largemouth and two white bass. All the bass except for one, were buck bass. The one was a female and the only keeper we had.
All fish were caught on a variety of baits, but mostly cranks. It was a beautiful day on the water and I was thankful I got to fish.
