Started early this morning and fished a solid 7hrs. Overcast, but warm enough to fish without a coat. Caught fish off and on all day. All came on #22 micro BWO emerger and #20 BWO dry . Most fish in the 10"-14" range. Two slot size fish caught back to back in the mid-morning. One big brown hooked but not landed. I counted coup on him - I touched that tail before he made one last run and broke off the point of my fly. I'll be back after him in a day or two.

BF it's kind of like that smallmouth last year. Do you remember the one? I had him with my right hand - switched grips and about the time your camera cleared the pocket, he just slipped away without a hero picture. No tale, just tail. If some ""people"[insert you] would just get a flyrod then I might have some witnesses from time to time.

It was a beadhead- micro mayfly -olive - picked it up on suggestion from Rod @ the SOHO fly shop. Plan on heading over in the morning to try again. Never got around to tying on the stripper - didn't need to. The dry bite started later after 12:00. Downstream fishing was the only way I could get a stirke.
