we appreciate your report and as said you did catch some fish. hey.......we never know what is going to hit. once last year while spinnerbait and i were top water fishing on the D we were wearing them out and there was a small Tx preparing to take off and they we watching us, i think we had caught 6 or 7 right near their take off point, one weighed 7 lb. 3 oz
and one boat never took off, instead he started throwing top water like we were and we continued on and in a couple minutes we heard them guys hollering and running around on the boat and the guy on the front hand hooked into a "Toad" we watched a couple minutes and then all of a sudden it became quite on the boat, got a little closer and they were hiding the fish trying to take it off........
they had a "HUGE" (8 or 9 lb) Blue Cat on Top-water. they finally got it off and looked
to make sure none of their buddies had seen them and away they went

Thats hilarious. I was on Cherokee last year throwing a crank bait as a bunch of tourney boats were buzzing buy. About the time one came by I hooked into something so they stopped and started fishing just down from me. When they got closer I told them It was a catfish (which it really was) and they packed up and took off. Turned out I didn't catch many fish until I fished the cove right across from where the announcer was telling who won. I got 3 really nice fish there and had one break off at the boat- all 3 lb or so fish.
