QUESTION ABOUT CHEROKEE

OUR LITTLE CHURCH CLUB IS HAVING A TOURNAMENT MAY 10 THERE IS ONLY ABOUT 15 OR 16 OF US. WE GET OUT TO FELLOWSHIP AND HAVE A GOOD TIME. WHAT KIND OF CONDITIONS SHOULD WE EXPECT? SOME OF US HAVE BEEN FISHING FOR YEARS AND SOME ARE JUST REALLY GETTING STARTED INTO BASS FISHING. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

The lake should be close to full pool. Water temps somewhere in the 70s and the fish should be pretty active. I would start out early with some type of topwater. If the wind gets up move to Rattle-Traps and Spinnerbaits... I also wouldn't be afraid to throw a C-Rig lizard as there are probably some fish left spawning.

Check back on this topic a little closer to time and you should be able to get some better info.

Ditto the above post. The only other thing I can add is if the water is up around the bushes, a senko tossed in the "junk" may yeild some quality fish as well.

THANKS FOR THE INFO SO QUICK. I WILL BE CHECKING THE BOARD DAILY ESPECIALLY WHEN OUR TOURNEY GETS NEAR. WE HAVE A MEMBERS FROM ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT CHURCHES IN OUR AREA. AS FOR OUR SCHEDUEL WE FISH THE SMALL LAKES AROUND EASTERN KY, BUT WE WANTED TO COME AND TRY ONE ON CHEROKEE.

Cherokee was to Snoot. if it is up in the bushes try a tube jig, and fluke.

I DID NOT GET TO FISH CHEROKEE ANY LAST YEAR BUT SOME FRIENDS HAD A TOURNAMENT ON IT LAST YEAR AND THEY SAID IT WAS REAL, REAL . LOW. HOW IS IT NOW, IS IT BELOW WINTER POOL?
