Being an 'ol Mississippi boy, I am naturally attracted to structure. In Mississippi structure=fish. Here is a good example of what I am looking for- deep structure. The kind nobody has found (ie- fished) yet. I located a bunch of this stuff from about the point 17 sign down to the marina. The bank leading to the water is STEEP! I took several images here. Note how bright white the bottom is on the left and how dull it is on the right. The bright white stuff is rock. The grey/black bottom is clay or shadows. Looks like there are a few feeshies home, too, on the left side. Looks like it is gonna be a good place for a heavy jig, worm, or spinnerbait. I am looking for some 1 oz. plus crawdad colored, short arm, gold blade spinnerbaits for this type of structure. Enjoy.
