[Bad Habit]

Well I an on the way home from surgery on my left hand. I cut the crap out of the meaty part at the base of mt thumb

I cut it on the edge of a broken toiled this pm. no feeshin' reports from me for a while......

man thats awful, did you cut any of muscles? (im a physical therapy student and Im just curious) I hope it heels up fast for ya so you can get back out there before the fishin really picks up!

 

[Bad Habit]

I have a lot of numbness to the medial part of my distal thumb. i initially lost thumb abduction but that was because i completely cut the abductor muscle. Good flexion and extesnion. I have seen the insides of more people in ways youu could only imagine but there is just something about looking down at your own exposed muscles that just does something to you. Should do ok long term.

[Bad Habit]

I will probably be out of action for up 2 months. As you can imagine, this is absolutely devastating to me. At least there were no complete nerve injuries. The muscles should scar across pretty well. Its gonna be a long road getting better. Right now I dont think I could even tolerate riding in the lead sled. I am gonna have to drive my truck for a while because the Yugo I use for day to day driving is a 6 speed manual. Man this sucks...
