here is the current two .. and the last few Ive had in th e last 3 yrs , I seem to change boats as fast as underwear .. well I do change underwear a little faster
current boats paid 500 each, one is major project the other green one lil stuff I love a bargain
past boats aka projects last couple yrs
New floors, transoms, carpet, then used a few months then sold .. sold the small one to offset price of the big one, sold the big one .. cause didnt wana buy a big tow vehicle to tow it .. my car didnt have enuf juice to really do it right
Thanks for the pictures and post NRG! I too bought a boat dirt cheap and restored it. It was pretty rough when I got it. Doesn't look the same anymore. I still have it. 1987 Tidecraft Spitfire.
That boat was a 1977 Hurst Bass Boat 15ft with Erude 1979 70hp .. but in those days it was hard to tell most brands apart . I replace the transom, stringers, and floor, new carpet and was about to paint the blue and put on a new clear coat over blue, then that bigger boat came along 1987 Astroglass 17ft with a erude 150 for 2k and I sold the Hurst to offset the cost of the Astroglass ( wife complaining )
I wish now that I had just kept the hurst .. but I wanted a bigger faster boat.. and was both of those, but was forced to sell the Astroglass .. and with the cost of Gas, and towing the bigger boat..... my smaller boat was looking better all the time.
So I was soon on the hunt for a replacement .. got the biege 1979 Terry 450cm boat with 1970 60hp erude ( selling the 60hp now ) came from $500 Ebay .. it needs transom and part of floor. , came with new carpet on the roll ( yet to be installed ), 2 lowrance LCRs, new seats, Erude TM, and other goodies
Green boat ( Old Tom-Boy) It came from couple blocks up the street $500 it needs some cleaning, paint and or clear coat, and carb cleaned .. high speed jet funkified from sitting, other than that its all good,, had a Johnson 35hp, Garmin 160, and a Bill Dance Motorguide foot control TM on it
