Here is my Modified 1999 Nova Ultra Jon. I in the middle of replacing the back decking and carpet. Ill take more pics of it and show.

Its got a 15hp Mercury, and a 55lb Minn Kota all terrain. (in the Pic it still had my old MotorGuide) I also have a fishfinder on it, a Humminbird Fishfinder 525.

Shes not much but Im getting plenty of practice for tournament fishing out of it now. I plan on upgrading in the future to a Bass Boat.

Nothing wrong with it at all!!! Its a great little boat! Just replacing the carpet and stuff in it!!!! Just gonna show off the mods in a few days when i get the carpet and flooring. The thing is STABLE in the water too!!! Last year I fished the late summer on Norris with all the crazies on the jetskis and wake board boats all over and never felt uncomfortable standing up on the trolling motor!!!

Here are the pics of my little modded jon boat. The first couple is the boat stripped with no flooring.

This is the rear board without carpet on it!! Just a treated piece of Pine Plywood.

How I mounted my Minn Kota Trolling motor to my rig.

This is the Finished work!! I like it alot!!! Looks alot better than the old dryrotted brown carpet that I did have!!

it's looking good. the only thing i would change would be to get a metal mount (aluminum) for the rear of your trolling motor. the wood will expand and contract and rot really quick. then ya trolling motor will start to bind on you.

It really doesn't bind that much right now!! BUT that is next on the list.
