Has anybody used the RED line for anything. We took one reel and spooled it with a red line and another one and spooled it with a clear line and fished in the ocean last year and we caught more fish on the red line then the clear we fished for 5 days and the red caught more fish we used the same size line same size sinker and bait. We was catching flounder and croaker. Was wondering if any of you have used it in freshwater.

Never used it, but red is supposed to be the first color that disappears in high light conditions. Hey OTB since it disappears underwater do red hooks do the same thing?

The Red fishing line is a Transparent Red. It will change color under the water to where you can't see it. The Red Hooks are a a reflective red and not see through. They can be seen.

I used Cajun Red Cast (which is the most supple and memory free of Cajun's 3 lines) last year on ALL my rods and I really liked it. It's pretty doggone tough, also. However, I am in the beginning stages of trying Yo Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft on a buddy's recommendation and it seems to be a first rate line, much easier to work with than 100% flourocarbon (which I think is more trouble than it's worth). Now I may go back to Red. They say there's some truth to it gettin' harder to see the deeper it gets. It is priced right and is certainly worth a shot!
