[MILKSHAKE]

Finally got to go for a little while today. We put in at Flatwoods boat ramp. Started around 8 to 8:30 and fished till 3:00. Tried jigs, silver buddies, and jerkbaits to no avail. So finally broke down and went to Holly Bay Marina and bought a dozen shiners. Went back out and tried drop shotting for a little while. My partner finallygot the first bite of the day. Low and behold he pulled up 6lb 01 oz. Smallmouth. What a pretty fish. Sorry don't have a picture to post of it. Only camera we had was taken on his cell phone. The pic just don't do that fish justice. Man was he excited that was his PB smallie. I was glad to see him catch a decent, it made the trip worth while just to see him hoop and holler. That fish came off a main lake point in about 20' ft. of water. Just wish I could've at least got a bite. But still was a good day just to see him catch that Smallmouth.

Milkshake, is the near Corbin KY? My wife's dad has a race track up in Corbin and I have seen a sign for Laurel lake going to the track. Just wondering!! I drove out and took a look at it and it was a beautiful lake. I have wanted to pull my boat up there and try it while the races were going on!

Stumpy, Laurel Lake is close to Corbin. Part of the lake, one of the creeks I fish in you can hear the race track on Fri. or Sat. night. From the race track you aren't but about 6 or 8 miles to Grove marina. Not a bad place to put in parking lot is lit and has security guards during summer months. Any where on the main lake close to Grove Marina is in Good Smallie country.

Otis it came off those deep point on the right coming out of Big Branch going back towards Holly bay. If you know where those are. If you need help finding them just PM me.
