Thanks guys for the support about my baits. I shoud be getting that Paca Micro Chunk molds in the mail any day and I will be making them also. I went back and checked my records for last year and I sold over 20,000 chunks to anglers last year. Some of them have been using my chunks for 5 years now and won't use anyone elses because mine float up and also cause jigs to fall slower.............

Where can you find the net bait (Wal-Mart/BPS)?

Looks like I'm going to visit Softy's website again. Have been holding off ordering till he had some tubes available.

Gunny Softy has the super chunk , super chunk jr (which are made by zoom) plus he also has the net bait version of the paca chunk also. Both are great. If you ever get any of his plastics you won't be dissappointed.

I like softys chunks but absolutely love the mini craw chunks and the 2" micros for my finesse jigs, you should see how bouyant those things are, not only do they make the jigs fall slow, they keep it upright also causing the skirt to really flare out!! Amazing to say the least!

i have failed to put another of softy's great jig trailer baits on here that i got from him. its his new "Mini Craw Chunk" and it looks great tied behind a jig. i will post a pic here in a bit. it sure gives my 1/4 oz Douglas Jig a beautiful look and i am thinking the LM will like it too.

hey i admit his baits are a little expensive but in my opnion the benifits far out weight the few cents extra.......if you guys are in doubt about his baits..........contact him about what you are interested in and you will be surprised about what a great person he is so come on and give him a phone call. his # is listed on his site or i can give to you. you will be surprised and be thankful that you placed the call.

I will second this motion with snoot. Call Doug if you have any questions or doubts. He is a super, super nice gentleman. I've talked to him on a couple of occasions. He is very knowledgeable about the bait making process whether it be softplastic's his specialty or jigs, spinnerbaits or whatever. If he can't answer it himself, he will find out the answer for you that I promise.

If you want to make a friend that is very knowledgeable about fish'n and life in general just call Softy. His number is listed on here or in his website. Trust me you won't ever regret calling him and get to know him.

In the process he will make you some of the best plastic baits you ever laid your hands on. He will talk to you find out what you like and don't like. Colors you like and might even make a suggestion or two on what works best him. To help you decide what you want. He really does take customer service to the next level.

I use several different types of trailers. It depends on the

fall rate I want on a jig..I still use pork on some.

They seem to hold scent better. I also like the

Yamamoto mini-craws for my hair jigs when

smallie fishin'. If I want bulk, I'll use a flippin'

craw on a jig........

Good stuff here on jig trailers
