Being that I am a poor college student, if I spend the money on a really good rod and reel I will have zero money left for any baits. Does anyone know of a good all around rod and reel (sold as combo if possible) that I could purchase for not too much money. I'd like somethin that I could use for T-rig, C-rig, cranks, jerks, and spinners. Ive got 3 rods and reels but most are old



5' Abu Garcia light spinning rod

5'6" shakespeare medium action combo with spinning reel

6' Daiwa (feels like medium action but info has worn off)

Zebco 33

Quantum Longstroke QL3 spinning reel

well im used to a medium action but I was thinkin of trying light-med. what length would be most versatile?

St.Croixs are a little different than most other rods actions. My favorite is a 6ft med. I mainly river fish though. Thats the one I use most of the time. I have an extra, its yours.....

If you know someone with a Sams card I got a pretty good feeling abu garcia combo from Sams over Christmas. 6' 6" medium action and 6 ball bearing reel for about $30 or $35. Got it wet yesterday for the first time.

JIGGING.THEY WERE ABOUT $20.00.I USE ALL-STAR,AND G-LOOM RODS TO AND I WOULD LIKE THOSE WAL-MART JUST AS GOOD.ONLY THING ABOUT THE WAL-MART ROD THEY DON'T HAVE A LIFE TIME WARRENTY.OH,YA I AM HUNTING SOME LURES FOR YOU TO TRY TO GET YOU STARTED.
