My Wife has to work Saterday, so I need to watch my littel one. I did not know this till this evening, so I wont be making it out for the float trip... THIS TIME. But looking forward to the next one.





Has anyone here fished Watauga River? Or did a float there or gone camping up there??? I did it last summer and had a great time. Didn't know if some you might want to organize a trip some time this spring. I caught my best fish there since moveing to TN, a 16" rainbow. I here the trout are just has good in the clinch if you know where to go.



Well keep my open for the next float trip thanks for the invite guys.

Well the Clinch does have the state record brown trout. But ive only fished it once. Alot of people say the Watauga is one of the best trout rivers in the south. And I belive the campground your refering to is on the trophy section of the river.

The campground in the trophy section has been closed permanently. There are other places to camp in the area. If you need any info let me know.
