OTB and I took off to Douglas yesterday looking for a few crappies for the table fare. The water temp ran from42 or so to 44 degrees. The bite was very slow at times but was there. We fished from just below Dandridge to about a mile above it. There was some color. We fished flies, white, white purple, red, pink, orange brown as well as small tube, minnow shape baits etc. in several different colors. The final total was 1 redhorse 4lb. 2 lm around 11 or 12 inches 1 small bluegill and 19 crappie. The smallest crappie was 11 inches and the largest was 14. Like I said it was slow except for one 15 minute period where we landed 4 in that 15 minute period. Most were on tite line but a few came on ff.

It sounds like you guys had a pretty good day. When is the fish fry?
I figured you and OTB were gonna go after them bass yesterday, but nothing wrong with stocking up the freezer before the real action begins. Wait a minute, the REAL action is with you and OTB anytime you guys get on the water.
