On a recent trip to a local lake that's loaded with greenbacks and
smallies, I noticed several fish floating on the top swelled and ready
to pop(so to speak). I didn't investigate to see what speices they
were, I didn't really want to know.
Evidentally these fish were caught deep and their swim bladder had
killed them. There is an easy way to prevent the death of a deep
caught smallie or largemouth. This is common in the cold months.
If this is a repost of another topic, I appoligize but it kills me to see
or know that a 6lb smallmouth died because of an unknown.
Here is a link to show the proper way to deflate a fish swim bladder....

Again, sorry if this is a repost of someone elses topic. It never hurts to
review these things anyway if others have missed it........
