Ive decided to get some Power Pro braided line but no one has said what knot to use to tie braided line. Ive heard of some knots NOT to use but what works well?
PALOMAR KNOTT IS YOUR BEST. IF YOU ARE USING IT TO FLIP/PITCH SOFT PLASTICS EITHER USE THE REACTION B.M.F. HOOK, OR USE SUPER GLUE ON THE KNOTT WITH STANDARD WORM HOOKS. THE BRAID IS SMALLER IN DIA., AND THE LINE CAN SLIP OUT OF THE SMALL GAP ON THE LINE TIE, ON HOOKSET.
If I am using straight braid to the hook I go through the hook eye twice then tie the palomar. When using a leader I connect the two with a double uni knot then tie a palomar knot in the leader material.

It is a straight shank heavy duty steel hook used primarly for flipping.
The BMF hook is made for Reactions Innovation Bait CO. by Mustad or Gammy I do not remember which.
I have use braid with a flourocarbon leader for years. As Z-91 said, palomar or double palomar for the braid to hook and a double uni for the braid to leader. Put about 8 turns in the braid and six in the leader.
