My partner and I fished the TCBA tournament today and ended up with 16 lbs. We fished from 7:00am to 4:00 and the water temp was around 44 degrees on the South Holston side. We did notice a few times in the back of little coves ... especially on the watauga side where the temp was up to 49. We ended up catching 6 keeper fish , 5 small mouth and 1 L-M. We caught all of our fish on the Silver Buddy in 12'- 20' of water... all bites came before 11:30am and the 30 mph winds started blowing. I have been the last 2 weekends and I cannot get bit after lunch time. Ths south Holston side is a little muddy but the watauga side is Muddy especially down close to the Pickens bridge area down. I also checked after weigh-in for dead fish and all swam off... no floaters. Second place today had 14LBs and after that I think it dropped down pretty quick. Today we just hit them...next time we not get a bite. I hope I did this right...I am a new member and thought I would give it shot and hopefully it helps someone else.
