never done any good in it during the winter

walleye run isnt far away though...if you time it right...you can come out with some good eats

should be starting early to mid march...sometimes you can catch them all the way up towards heavies, sometimes even farther up.

last year we didnt do worth squat on them, even though they were there

year before we tore em up.

best to get them closer to the lake earlier in the year around gap creek.

ill be going soon to check it out

as far as smallie fishing, never did any good in winter on powell. think they found the few deep holes and just sit there, dont bite anything. didnt do any good deadsticking, or float and fly w/minner either last winter.

I usually go to Drummonds Hole during the walleye run. I didn't do too much good last year on them. I don't think it'll ever be the same as I've heard some people talk about, those river strain walleyes aren't high in numbers now. It's a little disappointing anymore.

Those were probally the early males they will not bite. Last year the really only days we done any good was when the water was muddy and high after that nothing.

For smallmouth if you can find any deep holes you may try the FnF. It works in rivers too. May run into a few places that are fishable near wagon hollow which is below earls. Water in the river stays cold this time of year.
