Fished from 1:30p to 6p. Water tems were in the 44-45 degree range. Wind really picked up around 3p and probably blew 20-30 in gusts but seemed to make the fish bite better. Ended up with 8 fish, all keeper except 1. Fish were caught in 12-16 ft of water with close access to deep water. Had some really nice fish today, 6 largemouth and 2 smallmouth. Fishing is starting to get better with these warm days. Best 5 would have gone around 13 or 14 lbs. Below are some of the pics.

WOW! Those are good fish! I was thinking about going up to Watauga tomorrow. I had about decided not to because of the forecasted wind but I just might go now.

Great catch and report! You guys give me hope that Watauga is NOT the Dead Sea. I plan on fishing there in the next week or two. I was thinking of trying a little FnF (I'm a rookie), and a silver buddy. Now I think I will add a jerkbait.

Thanks
