Went out of International Harbor (Friendsville) for a couple of hours a little after 3:00 PM. Water temp 47-48. Fish showing up all over the screen! Mainly threw a 4 inch Tequila Sunrise Slider worm. Nary a bite. Finally pulled out the old reliable: Roostertail; figured I'd at least catch a bluegill. Zip. Course with a bluebird sky, front came through, 21 degrees last night....... Quit laughing, I had to come up with some kind of excuse! As always, its good just to get out there. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Wood

My buddy and I launched out of Ish Creek yesterday around 1 p.m. and fished until dark. We first fished that rocky point at the mouth of the creek on the right side at the main channel. I had a couple of hits on a DT 16 but couldn't get a hookset. We then made our way up the left side of the channel going towards the dam and fished every little pocket we came across. We fished everywhere from 2 ft. of water to 50 ft. of water with no luck. We threw cranks, spinnerbaits, worms, jigs, jigged spoons, suspending jerkbaits, other soft plastics, and I think my buddy even tied on a chatterbait at one point. We didn't catch squat! Saw tons of fish on the ol' "fishfinder," but they didn't want anything to do with us. Water temps ranged from 45-48 degrees and the water was fairly clear.

The Knoxville News Sentinel says to fish rock banks and points in 6-10 ft. of water with a black/blue jig with deep water close by. I'd like to find the S.O.B. who writes that column!
