Check out Mr. Davis at The Pine-Deer-Rosa off Hulmes Chapel Road. Super nice place with excellent staff. Boat ramp less than a mile away up in Beaver Creek. Used to stay there every year when he had cabins, but he is camping only now. Pine-Deer-Rosa

"some of the guys at our church go down and stay in the cabins and have a mens retreat/fishing/golf tournament. its definitely one of my favorite trips every year! and like kubota said, the facilities are top notch! WARNING if you make a map for your first trip be sure to put in the address for the cabins and/or the headquarters, lol my girlfriend (now fiance) printed off a map for Richard B. Russell State Park and it put us down some logging road, hahaha and let me tell you, turning a f 250 and a 20 foot bass boat around in between the trees on the sides of a logging road in the dark is not an easy task! "

And how did u do down there las year Black NIght! I hear Tennbasser whooped ur butt!!! I also hear he's pulling all the stops and showing no mercy this year!

It may be worth your while to ease off and head down to Bobby Brown State park on Clark Hill and hit the channel swings and brushpiles in the back of the creeks on the south Carolina side with a jig and hold on. Me and a buddy had 33 pounds in our best 5 in a small club tournament that time of year doing that.

The good thing about Russell is that there are some great areas within a 20 minute drive down to Broad River or Fishing Creek on Clarks Hill. Gives you more options. Have fun.
