i've only done a small amount of warm water fly fishing, and caught only bluegill and redeye. so far everything i have landed on the fly rod has been worth the effort, no matter how big or small. i do plan to hit the cove on norris a little more this summer, and hopefully i'll luck into a smallie or two this time

HughB the Newbie!

River Smallies are a lot of fun; pound for pound they are among the strongest fish.... far superior to Largemouth IMO.

If you ever want to get into them with me sometime just call.. 865-255-4840

BTW... SM Bass love crawfish BUT most crawfish type flies have very little action.... if you want I can mail you something that will catch you a bunch of them.

Blessed is:

The man who's daughter marries a Godly man, who teaches fly casting to, and ties flies for his father-in law

The man who catches fish his very first outing with said son-in-law on said flies.

The man who gets to catch these fish on his favorite body of water that he has fished all his life.

Thank you God for family, friends, freedom and fish!!!

Is that a WHITE BASS? I am jealous; never caught a white bass much less on a fly... We shall need to get you on some fish with spots.
