I was wanting to try to catch some bass on the North Fork and South Fork of the Holston on flies. Does anybody have any suggestions on what kind of flies to use this time of year or where to go between netherland inn and sigournsville?

I tried it some last year. I threw some large deceivers last spring with some success. I caught a couple of real nice fish just ripping them.

If it scares trout it catches bass! Poppers, decievers, bunny flies, big wooley buggers with silly legs popping out are all good.... and then there are CLOUSERS which are awesome for river bass.
