thats one toad of a smallie basshog
Especially for it to come on a buzzbait. I bet it sounded like a ton of bricks hittin the water when it grabbed ahold of that buzzbait!

Caught it on Kentucky Lake in April. Went down for the BassResource.com Road Trip. Drove all night, put in around 8AM. Caught it in less than an hour. 5 lbs. even. Didn't catch another fish over 2.5 lbs. the rest of the week. Caught it dragging a junebug jig down a pea gravel bank.

Caught on Bark Camp Lake in Scott Co. VA a couple of years ago. Been on the water for about 45 minutes, thought the worm was snagged until it pulled back. 5 lbs. on the nose and a Zoom Mag II. Didn't get another bite all night (cold front passed through).

Fishing an all-nighter on Ft Pat a couple of years ago. Went from 7PM-4AM without a bite. Hooked a biggun down near the dam, threw the spinnerbait at the boat. Ran out of spots, headed back to the ramp around 5:30. Throwing a buzzbait between the ramp and the marina when this thing hit. 3.5 lbs., missed big fish by 3/10's of a pound.

All of those are personal bests.

Caught this one last March on a big swimbait......my scales said 6.5......personally I think it was bigger than that. It was a freakin' toad in person.

For the fish that I have pictures of, this brown trout would have to be my pic. Although I have caught bigger fish than this one, I don't have pictures but this one was a prize to me.

This fish was caught on a fly rod (imagine that) using a fly that I had tied up the night before and I was using 7x tippet when I brought this one in. 7x tippet has a strength of 2.5 lbs and this made for a good fight so not to loose it.
