Nice Catch. Huge carp. Full of fight? Belly as big as mine.

A bit to heavy to fight, but tugged and hugged the bottom well.

I moved to TN from Middletown, CT. We always went up to Vermont or NH to fish. Never knew there were crappie like that in CT

Pretty stringer of fish. The spots look different from our specks or crappie.

Caught them at Long Meadow Pond in Middlebury, CT. The bite was definitely on that day.

Default My first memorable fishing trip at the Clinch

Ok, so, these fish don't seem like much but for me, it was "fishing Christmas." I spent hours, days, months and years without catching ANYTHING in the Great Lakes and then here. I had a great feeling waking up this morning and was resolved to go fishing tonight. I have a "bucket list" of fish I'd like to catch and an order of priority on my excitomonitor and my first choice is a Muskie but I really wanted to catch a Striper too. I was fishing the Clinch by the Bull Run Steam Plant for months to no avail until today when I went and they were jumping everywhere. I got there about 8 and by nine they were done but I first tried a Shad and nothing. I went to change my rig and threw the dead fish in the water. It no sooner hit the water and it was immediately eaten. I changed my rig to light silver Rapala about 1" and this lure almost didn't have to touch the water. We were catching them handover fish. Between myself, my 11 yr old and the guy next to us, without no "big fish story" we caught at least 25 fish in 30 minutes. I was soooooooooooo happy and here is my first fish to speak of even if my 11 yr old had to take it off for me!!!!brendanstriper1.jpg

All of you may want to come check out the other site that's listed below in my signature. Seems like this one is about dead. Most of the regulars from this site have moved over to the other one. It's run by someone who can actually point out Tennessee on a map, not some Canadian company that's only in it for the money.
