Will do HR 32. Thanks for the input tincan, I have done many floats on the lower Holston and have done Douglas Dam to the Forks ( 2 days with an outboard) two times. I was wondering about flow changes on this stretch. On past floats I had the advantages of generation schedules and I know those rivers very well. I assume that the only way to judge flows on Little River is to watch rainfall totals for the area, is that correct?

Yeah. I use Little RIver Outfitters fishing report as a guide. Byron checks the stream flow every morning at the swinging bridge in Townsend, plus gives an overall assessment of the river. Granted he his watching fly fishing conditions, but it will help you as well.here's his link:

TVA reports on unregulated stream flows every day also. You can call them and listen to the recording and it will tell you how much water is running. Of course every river and stream is different on how much water is to little, enough, and to much.

Just my .02 worth. The river is still way up and very muddy. Even if we don't get anymore rain I would not go this weekend. If we do get more rain I really would not go this weekend. I drive by the river everyday on my way home. If you need water conditions just let me know.

Thanks for the input and offer. One of the guys that are planning to go lives in Walland. He's keeping an eye on it and we are checking with LRO and RJ. We are still hoping. We have set the lower Holston as a possible alternative. Fact is with this weather we wont know until Friday evening. Any other alternatives come to mind?
