Whats an estimated amount of hours to drift from heritage to the sevierville road bridge? I have never fished it before and we were going to drift it in a canoe. I kinda like to be prepared before we go. Anything bad we should watch for like water falls on that stretch?

Kinda depends on your fishing style. If you really take your time,it can take 6 hrs or you can do it in a couple of hours. No falls. Easy paddle. Good luck.

Hey. We're an hour or so up the road and this float trip would be the perfect amount of kayak time for my small boys. Do you mind telling me where this float ends and begins?

im guessing he means from the bridge behind heritage high school to the highway 411 bridge. i was always under the impression that the 411 bridge area is all private land but not sure

Its not. There is a small road you can pull down off the main road and load/unload from there. the pull off is state property. I got this from the owners of the farm on both sides of the hwy.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up! What about the dam at Townsend to the School? Is that about the same amount of time as the school to the 411 bridge......or any other decent places to take out if putting in at the dam? I'd like to start there and float down if possibe.

Again, thanks for the advice and if you need to know anything about the upper Clinch I'll be glad to hook you up.

Uh, its maybe 20 minute paddle to the school. Not much of a difference. I'd rather put in at the dam personally. The area around the bridge can be pretty shady.(and not in a good way.) I had a run in there with some pretty rough characters before. I'll paddle through from here on out. FYI.

You mean 20 minute difference or 20 minutes to the school itself? Is the school area a safe takeout? Ever done the trip to River Johns? I'm sorry for all the questions but I do want to make sure my family is safe. Thanks for your time hotroddr32.
