I grew up in area, and the bridge is patrolled by county more than perry mill. Much safer to park car there now because of all the bike riders. Way safer. Last time I parked there a month ago and floated they stole a junk pallet out of the back of my truck, and were burning it for a camp fire right there. When I got there it was 3 homeless guys. I said who got it out, and they were all lying cause they thought I was mad at them. You could still plainly see the pallet in there fire. I just wanted to say thanks for saving me a trip to the dump. Definitely not as safe as parking at counters bridge now though. Plus u are not missin any good fishing there or anything.

No problem. Id guess it would take 20min or less to get to the school if you paddled through. Like has been said, there isn't that great of fishing between the mill and bridge. a redeye here and there...the better fishing begins past the school bridge once you get away from the road.
