We generally use our home made spinners, but if you really want to have fun take a couple of small crank baits, I said a couple because you will loose some. Crank em' hard til they hit bottom or some other structure, pause a second then hang on. This one came out of the water four times twice he got completely air borne

Yea, I caught my biggest smallie out of a canoe at Fontana. The aerial show will never be forgotten.
