First fish was itty bitty..

We trolled some too

topwater victim

dbl 10 victim

big fish of the trip

Temps were anywhere from about 65 to 71. Found the fish relating to current and flooded backwater type areas. They were definately not on their summer haunts yet. After an initial slow start; we thought maybe fast moving lures were not the answer. We perserved however, and I think all but the trolling fish were caught on a topwater or bootail/spinnerbait of some sort.

No, we didn't measure. I'd guesstimate the last one at around 48".

So you've just got good at making them look bigger than they actually are?

More than likely the sore on in the 2nd last pic is from spawning. I did not shoot the fish.

The pink spots on the last one are mostly likely muskie-pox or Piscirickettsia.

I wouldn't say common but, especially this time of year after the fish are coming off spawn, hence close contact with other fish.. you'll see it more often.
