Didn't really know what to expect in the catching department with the way the weather greeted us, as far as the walleye they proved to be ready to bite but the pike, at least for me were a little more stubborn. The walleye were stacked in a river at a couple of neck down areas and were caught jigging and a few were caught on island and main lake points which told me they were finishing their spring fling and starting to move. Picking at the walleyes

Pike fishing for me was on the slow side, as I concentrated in the back of bays and areas adjacent to fast moving water. People that dead baited had the most success, caught mine on spoons, small bucktails and a couple came on the same jigs as the walleyes.
