Default Advice on Wacky rig

I've been fishing a weightless wacky rig quite a bit this spring, and a problem I've been dealing with is line breaks. I've lost several nice fish at the boat from this. I'm kinda scratching my head over it. I've never had issues with line breaks before this. I ran through a 6 pack of Gamakatsu drop shot hooks over 2 trips and its ticking me off. I run Trilene Mono 6lb test. I've wondered if I need to step it up to 8 or 10lb? When I look at the line it doesnt look like the knot is pulling out. Help!

Bad batch or old line???? What about a crack in one of your guides (rub a cotton ball to see if it catches). 6 lb test should adequate.

I respooled since last trip. still happens. I hope I dont have a crack in a guide. Its my favorite rod it keeps happening on. I'll check it in the am.

Alright, eyes on the rod look good. I don't know. Maybe I need to start retying more often. When I lost the last fish, I quit using the outfit, and I checked the line. It was pretty rough. Im gonna try again maybe this evening or in the morning.
