Default Smoky Mountain Bass Anglers 2016

Hello all, I'd like to invite anyone in the East TN, greater Knoxville or surrounding areas out to our bass club, the Smoky Mountain Bass Anglers. As of January 2016 we will be meeting the first Tuesday of every month at Academy Sports in Knoxville at 7PM. Right now is the best time to come out and join before we get tournaments fired back up in the end of March.
We are a TBF (The Bass Federation), FLW affiliated club. Your annual dues include membership in both originations and everything that entails (FLW member status, FLW magazine, etc).
Annual dues are currently $90 and tournament entry fees are $25 per angler. We fish from Cherokee lake all the way down to Chickamauga with stops on just about every lake in between. From March through December we typically have 2 tournaments per month with some summer time night tournaments thrown in and a 2-Day State Tournament (Eastern TN Divisional) each fall. We are a points based club which means your goal is to compete for points to make the "state team" and compete in the following year's State Tournament (example: 2016 points will be for the 2017 State Team slots).
All in all we are a fellowship of anglers who enjoy the sport, love the competition but help each other out on and off the water. We encourage everyone to come out regardless of if you have a boat or not, you can absolutely compete all year as a co-angler!
As there has been some confusion in the past I will state up front: this is a club tournament setting and NOT a tournament trail. We conduct meetings, we vote on schedules and club business and it will differ greatly from a typical tournament trail environment. We draw names for boaters and Co-anglers at each meeting so it is not a buddy team trail either. The advantages are that you get to fish with different folks, learn new water, gain knowledge from others and enjoy the fellowship of a club environment.
If you are interested, please come meet us at our February or March meeting! We will be drawing for the first tournament at the March meeting and dues will need to be paid before you can compete.

Thanks all!!
