Put in at Iron Bridge ramp on 9/9/12. I was very impressed with the clarity of the water and the amount of bait I saw swimming, right at the ramp. I was expecting shallow water; however, there were several long stretches of 20ft+, which was very conducive to trolling cranks. Only fished for 2 hours, and caught several different species, the best one being a flathead about 10lbs! Just moved to Maury County, and it's nice to know a ramp is only 5 minutes from home. Anyone else fish the Duck up there?

I have done a lot of deer hunting at Yanali and have scouted around the river for fishing places. Maybe we will get down there early this fall and get to fish some. Would the Iron Bridge ramp be the best one to use. We camp a few miles on up the road from there and it would be easy to get to from camp.

Yes, it is a good ramp, and plenty deep for a prop. Only 1/2 mile off of Tom Hitch Pky, so just right down the road from Yanahli.

Actually yanahli is directly across the river from the ramp and stays that way (left side running upstream) for many miles....good access to some of the more remote areas of the wma this way. There is also a section on the right side several miles up that is only accessable by river, but it is mostly fields leased to farmers and very little deer hunting worthy cover.
