Last year I came to Douglas and only fished for bass, I had a great time and caught lots of fish. This year I will be returning the first week in May and I'd like to fish for Crappie. Only problem is I don't remember any place to by minnows. Could someone please help me out? Also, a little help on were to start, I',m not looking for your favorite spot, just need to know lower, mid, or upper lake and shallow or deep. Any help would be appreciated.

You can get minnows at BucksnBass in Dandridge and also there is a new bait store in Newport right where you turn off to go from Newport to White Pine. The Dam Store near the dam always has minnows.

Bucks & Bass is located NE of Dandridge on 25/70 about halfway to the I-40 White pine exit. The Rymer's bait store right in Dandridge counted the minnows out ONE AT A TIME on a Prescription paddle the LAST time I asked for minnows. I told him to give me my minnow bucket back, as , he valued those minnows more than I did! That's why I go out of my way to Bucks & Bass. "Buck" gives a good count, whereas Rymer is as negative as can be with ANY customer, not just me! dada 2-24-12 10:40 AM

Thanks for the help. I am staying on the other side of the lake,( McGuire's Creek), is there anything closer to the south side of the lake?
