I want to fish SH River back up from Webb's Bridge. Whats good to use? And are there SM in there if so what to use for them as well. I mainly use Panther Martins/Mepps Aglia....etc but are shakey heads good for trout and other lures cranks/jigs/jerks?? Whats best for generating and not generating? Just wondering cause i was brought up with the old Night Crawler and a couple sinker rig lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Fish ON!!

Don't get your hopes up on the bass. Sometimes you'll see one in there, but they don't bite well. Stick with trout techniques and don't be suprised if you get your line broke on good fish. Spinners work well at times as do Rapala stickbaits and jerkbaits. I like the X-rap and jointed minnow in silver or gold. When they first start generating, seems like the bites pick up and the fish get more active. The downfall is all the Didymo, or rock snot, in the river that gets stired up when the water comes up. It will ruin your day trying to keep your lure cleaned off.

Corn, worms, powerbait and minnows will work as well. My prefered method is large minnows. It just depends on the conditions as to what you should use at any given time.

Good luck, I hope you do well.

Ty for the advice. I went down today and lost 2 really nice fish on Bass Pro Shops XPS Laser Eye Jerkbait Blue/Silver. But it was a great day got to spend time with the wife and my 10 month old showing him how to fish lol.

The more you go, the better you'll figure them out. It's a really good river to fish.
