So im in the market for another rod, preferably 6 6 medium fast for small plugs and topwater flukes etc, just wondering if anyone has the new green micro all star rods? Only place to find all star now is at academy sports, next day i feel like drivin 100 miles, i may go down and check them out, just wondering if anyone on here has one and what they think of it. The new micro guide rods have spoiled me, i traded two of my all star gt 40x rods in because after fishing with the skeet reese and the cashion rods, picking up one of the all star rods felt like fishing with a tree trunk..anyway, anyone have these new all stars? With my aching hands these days, i will probably stick with the light weight rods, just bought a 6 6 carrot stix PG, havent gotten to try it out yet, but JoeP says its gonna break and i will buy another Cashion eventually..lol. Anyway, thoughts, suggestions? Lookin for light weight preferably 150 bucks or less..

If you make the trip to academy pick you up one of the blue rods and feel how light it is!

I do not like the rod selection at Academy, but I do like the store in general. I hope they get a lot of new stuff to put on the shelf before spring. Every one will have an opinion on what rod they like best. I would try one out locally and then hit up the Black Friday internet sales in one month.

You can buy Cashion's at Watson's and if you manage to break one they swap it out for you. Just sayin'.....
