do smallmouth ever move up into the river? i was fishing behind the jail and had one on for a second that for the short i saw it, it kinda looked more like a smallmouth than a trout, but i lost it before i got a good look at it.

I have spent hundreds of hours electro-shocking the Clinch and have seen one smallmouth in that period. I have seen probably a dozen spotted bass though.

ive caught bream n seen small bass but never caught one, have seen walleye. could it have been a walleye?

I saw a fat largemouth, probably 2 lbs, right above millers island the other day. Maybe it was a spotted bass, I saw him from 10 ft away or so.

i had a buddy catch a largemouth up there on a jerkbait in the middle of winter but i dont think its a common occurance

Ive caught a 2lb lm below the weir on a salmon egg and have seen more swimming around.

I caught a nice spot right above the miller island ramp this winter on a rooster tail.

i have caught bass and catfish at peach orchard. i've often wondered if any stripes or muskie move that far up as well. one day last year there was something big and violent thrashing on top around there. i never got a peek at what it was, but it was not consistent with what i've seen trout do.

Me and my stepson were fishing up stream from the 75 bridge yesterday and we saw several rockfish. First time in I've ever seen any up there.

I was with a guy from Kentucky and he caught a four pound class largemouth out of the clinch above pear orchard. It tail walked and everything. If he reads this he may post a picture.
