Default First native brookie

My fishing partner and I went to little river and an undisclosed stream in the smokies thurs. I caught my first native brookie in the smokies. We made a full day of it fishing two streams. All the brooks were small and most were caught on a 20 black midge. zebra midge, bwo and a sulfur caught fish also. I caught a nice 10 inch rainbow for big fish of the day. saw a bear and a nice buck, can,t wait to go back. My wife was a little put out, left at 5.30 am got home 9.pm she says I'm too old to do that anymore.

Sounds like a good trip . Glad you did not give stream name. Let others find them the way you did by going and looking for themselves . If you can still do it you are not too old .

i have not tried using a migde in the mountains, i usually think of those as a tailwater pattern. congrats!
