Default Fall Fishing on Cherokee

I've made 4 VERY GOOD trips so far and have had a blast every time catching lots of fish in the 4 to 6 lb range and my personal best smallmouth. I've been down one time since the water started dropping and caught fish but it was totally different than before. I caught a lot of fish between 13 and 14 inches and two best were around 4lb. I haven't had the first hit on a spinnerbait or crankbait or any kind of topwater and only one roll on my buzzbait. Is it to early to be expecting a lot of action with these baits or am I just not getting on the fish ? The majority of time is spent from the church house up, did spend a little time in Poor Valley one day with no luck. I'm only gonna be able to make 2 or 3 more trips this year and would really like to make the most of it. Any suggestions ?
