I haven't fished cherokee for eyes much. I hear up next to steamplant is good in spring. An old timer I know said he used to catch em trolling across islands in summer. I fish mainly on douglas year round. Last february was good sauger and eye fishing over at walters bridge, and fishing good all the way through summer up into french broad. I went last week and didn't do any good. Might be a little early for them yet. The bit could possibly be delayed a little this year due to colder temps and snow run off. Are you fishing for them anywhere now?

I am new to fishing on Douglas and have never fished it for the walleye. Fishing for them in the summer, what areas ( mud, rock, point's ) and do you ( jig, troll, cast ) Thanks for your help in this. I don't have a clue but would love to learn.
